Friends of the Children Foundation donate funds for gaymer hypothermia device

Without our great volunteers, generous supporters and keen sponsors who collected, contributed and donated $55,555.90 to Friends of the children Foundation, we wouldn’t be able to report on such fantastic news! The money received by the Friends of the Children Foundation was transferred to the Royal Children Hospital through the Good Friday Appeal (2012) for the purchase of these “Gaymer Hypothermia devices.

On Thursday 4th April, some members from Friends of the Children Foundation including our founder, Shashi Kochhar had an opportunity to visit the Paediatric Intensive Care unit at the Royal Children’s Hospital to see the gaymer hypothermia devices in action.

It was an overwhelming experience to see such world class facilities. These machines will give so many families a reason to smile and enjoy their lives.

Our team of Ratan Jee, Jasbir Bedi, Indy Jassal, young Riya and Shashi Kochhar felt so privileged, humbled and honoured to meet and listen to the staff members including:

  • Mr Bradley Carter Paediatric Intensive care unit technician,
  • Ms Jamiee Mayne, Student Technician,
  • MS Rachael Hurley, Executive Assistant and
  • Ms Danielle Clark, Donor Development Coordinator.

The gaymer hypothermia device is an important device that can save young lives every day and does that with such perfection thus creating new world class standards every day.
